Privacy
Short version: no cookies, no analytics, no ads, no accounts. We don't know who you are.
What we don't do
Goldilocks Map sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, shows no ads and asks for no account. Your settings live in the page address (so links you share open the same map) and nowhere else.
What passes through anyway
- Hosting. The site is served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability.
- Map tiles. The background map loads from OpenFreeMap, and the fonts load from Google Fonts. Like any website, those services see your IP address when your browser fetches from them.
- "Locate me." If you use the locate button, your browser shares your position with the page to center the map. It stays in your browser; we never receive or store it.
- Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive what you type (including your email address, if you give it) and use it only to reply. Netlify stores the message for us.
Changes
If we ever add analytics, ads or email signups, this page will say so first, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it.
