Goldilocks Map

Terms of use

Goldilocks Map is a free tool. Use it, share it, link to it. A few plain-language ground rules:

Averages, not forecasts

Every number describes a typical year, computed from 1991 to 2020 climate averages. It is not a weather forecast and can't tell you what any particular day will bring. Don't use it for safety, health, travel-safety or financial decisions; check an official forecast for that.

As is

The site and its numbers are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to make them accurate (see how it works), but we can't guarantee they are complete, current or error-free, and we aren't liable for decisions made using them, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Sharing and reuse

You're welcome to share links, screenshots, share cards, city map images and rankings, with credit to Goldilocks Map and a link to goldilocksmap.com. Please keep the map credit (© OpenStreetMap contributors, © OpenMapTiles) on any map image. Don't present our numbers as your own, and don't scrape the site in bulk.

Other people's data

The map and data come from public sources that keep their own licenses: OpenStreetMap (ODbL), OpenMapTiles, OpenFreeMap, GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), TerraClimate and CHELSA. See the credits.
